Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I need an appointment to look at wedding dresses?
Yes! You will need to book an appointment with us to select your wedding dress. After saying "Yes!" to your fiancé, this will be the most important decision you will make for your wedding, and an appointment will allow us to give you the personal attention and service you deserve! Fridays and Saturdays book fast and usually have a two week wait time, while we normally have more availability on weekdays. Walk-in appointments are limited, and we ask that you call us directly at 406-761-6338 to see if we have same-day availability to accommodate you within our scheduled appointments.
How long will my appointment last?
Appointments are usually an hour to an hour and a half, but may go longer if our schedule allows it. Friday and Saturday appointments are usually for one hour, as they are our busiest days of the week. You may want to book separate appointments if you also need to shop for bridesmaids, tuxedos, mother's dresses, etc. although we understand you may have to do it all at once if you are from a long distance! Please let us know what you are looking for and we will schedule your appointment accordingly.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We get it, life happens! However, we are a small boutique who takes a limited amount of brides a day, so please take your appointment time seriously and cancel within 48 hours if a conflict comes up.
How many people should I bring with me?
Some brides prefer to shop alone; however, brides usually bring one or two people...mom, sister, best friend, sometimes even a fiancé!
We don't recommend bringing a large group with you as too many opinions will just confuse and frustrate you. If you are considering bringing more than three people with you, please let us know so we can make special arrangements to accommodate your party. Small children usually become restless, so you may want to leave them at home and make this a special adult outing. If you bring children, they will need to be supervised by another adult. We encourage you to have others join the appointment via Facetime, Zoom or Skype with our free WiFi. Whoever you decide to invite, make sure you bring trusted people who have your best interests at heart and know your personal style. After all, this is the most important piece of clothing you will ever wear!
Can I take pictures?
Yes! You will be able to take pictures during your appointment, although we recommend you focus on your top three favorites and not take pictures of every dress you try on. We ask that you be courteous of other brides who may be shopping or having fittings.
And definitely take a picture with our "I said YES" sign when you find the dress of your dreams!
Can we bring champagne or food to my bridal appointment?
Like all businesses, we must comply with all Federal and Montana alcoholic beverage laws and rules. The Montana Department of Revenue may fine us up to $500 per infraction for serving or allowing the consumption of alcohol in our store without a license. You can read more about these laws here. As for food, we want to keep our long white gowns as pristine as possible, so we ask that you don't bring food or beverages in our store. That being said, we hope you go out for drinks or a meal after you find your dress...it's time to celebrate!
What should I bring to my appointment?
If possible, we recommend wearing nude-colored undergarments when trying on wedding dresses. Underwear is a MUST, and a strapless bra or body shaper is nice, if you have them. Your consultant will be helping you into the dresses, so if you are modest or uncomfortable, thin leggings work great. If you already have your wedding shoes or boots, bring them along. Borrowing Grandma's necklace or Mom's veil? We'd love to see them! Most of all, we want you to be comfortable and confident when trying on dresses, so don't worry if you only have a black bra and purple undies. We'll make it work!
What else should I know about my appointment?
There are a few things you should think about before you try on dresses. It is helpful to look at bridal magazines, Pinterest and legitimate websites to get an idea of what styles appeal to you. (Watch out for those Chinese knock-off websites! They steal pictures from real designers!) A great place to start is the links on our website, which will take you to reputable bridal companies we highly recommend. Start the search for your wedding gown now!
Is your store LGBTQ+ friendly?
Absolutely. We are honored to help you celebrate your love story. You and your partner are safe here.
